Come and improve your skills under our watchful eye, gain confidence by working on your own project or one of many we can suggest.

Patchwork for Beginners with Janet & Ricky, £80(£35 deposit)
This class will run once a month on the second Tuesday, over 10 months.
Quilt Group with Ricky, £3
Every Tuesday, 1000-1230
The group will run weekly and will concentrate on hand sewing. You will work on your own projects but we hope that as the group evolves, we will introduce charity or group challenges. Advice will be given for anyone needing it, but this is not a teaching session. Sewing groups are always great fun and are a good way to meet like minded people!
Everyone welcome. Complementary tea, coffee and biscuits. No booking required.

Improve your skills and techniques. From toile to complete garment. You will be shown how to alter a commercial pattern to fit you perfectly.

This is a fun quilt and as it is always lovely to see the pattern that emerges from this exciting technique. Rotary cutting and machine sewing are involved.
Make a Block Book with Ricky £35 (£15 deposit)

This is fun, fast and eye catching! This is the perfect solution for all those who need to carry their block, whether to classes or joining a block of the month. The book will keep your blocks safe up to the moment you are ready to put them together. We will embroider and appliqué the front of the book, and I will show you how to put the book together.
Machine Quilting with Janet, £40 (£15 deposit)
Saturday 15th June 2013, 1000-1600
In this class you will make samples using lots of techniques to help you feel more confident when machine quilting. On the day you will have the opportunity to work with lots of different threads, both on top and in the bobbin, play with tensions, use various machine feet. Have a fun day experimenting with various types of wadding; learn how your machine can work for you. The course fee includes quilt sandwich and a selection of wadding.
Red and white Miniature quilt with Janet £35 (£15 deposit)

If you have never made a Miniature quilt why not try one for a change? You can make a miniature quilt for a dollhouse bed, larger doll cradle or a decorative wall-hanging.

We will show you new quilt pattern. Make a quilt with 2 ½” strips. It will be possible to piece most of the quilt top.
Make a Cushion with Ricky £35 (£15 deposit)
Saturday 13th July 2013, 10.00-16.00
Pillows and cushions come in lots of shapes and sizes, and can be closed with zippers, ties, or buttons. They are easy to make that you can have fun making a whole set, then piling them together on a sofa, a window seat or a bed. This cushion is made using embroidered, appliquéd and pieced blocks. This is a fun, fast, eye catching piece using a technique by the Australian designer Rosalie Duffield. The completed quilt can be made into a wall hanging or table runner.

This lovely little house will protect your sewing machine from dust. It will also add a cute country touch when used as a decorative element on your sewing table.

Get ready for Christmas early. This course will include a pre-printed panel to make an Advent calendar, wadding and backing. It should be possible to finish most of it in the day.
Apron and Oven Glove with Ricky, £35 (£15 deposit)

We will make a simple apron with an appliquéd and embroidered pocket, with matching oven gloves for the modern Housewife. Machine required.
Christmas Tree Skirt with Ricky, £35 (£15 deposit)

All the cosy charm of celebrating Christmas is captured in this simple to make tree skirt. Birds, snowman, tree and candles add just the right touch to frame the Christmas tree.
We will use my favoured two techniques, appliqué and embroidery.

You will be shown 3 patterns to make a sewing roll, handy bin for bits and a case for your thimble. Sewing machine required.

Join us to make a 3-D snowman using felt and embroidery. He can be used as a door stop or simply as a Christmas decoration. Hand embroidery and machine sewing.

Using my design or your own we will embroider the lampshade, and appliquéd motives. A pack to make the Lampshade is included in the class price.
Christmas Bauble with Ricky and Janet £35 (£15 deposit)

Come and have an enjoyable day making a folded decorative bauble using Japanese styled folded patchwork to cover a Styrofoam ball. This is an excellent way to use up lots of your favourite Christmas fabric scraps. Suitable for all levels, packs available.
